Hillary and Chelsea Clinton arrived at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center Saturday where former president Bill Clinton remains hospitalized, recovering from a urological infection.

Bill, 75, was hospitalized on Tuesday after a urological infection developed into sepsis. Sepsis is a life-threatening reaction to an infectious disease.

Clinton spokesman Angel Urena said Friday night that Clinton would need to spend another night in the hospital to administer intravenous antibiotics for an infection unrelated to Covid-19. ..

Biden said he spoke with Clinton while at the University of Connecticut on Friday. “Oh, I wanted to see how he was doing … I’ve been trying to catch him. He’s fine, he really is.”

Biden added: “He is not in a serious condition.

“As I understand, he’s leaving soon. I don’t know if it’s tomorrow or the next day,” he said.

The president also points out that he hasn’t seen Clinton for a while and plans to “have lunch” with him in the near future.

The blood infection that hospitalized the former president on Tuesday was reportedly caused by a bacterium known as E. coli, his doctor confirmed Friday morning.

Urena said her white blood cell count was high at age 75, but has since declined, indicating that “all health indicators are heading in the right direction.”

“President Clinton remains well and is deeply grateful for the excellent care he has received and the wishes that people have sent from all over the United States and around the world,” Urena added.
