78 years ago today over 7,000 prisoners of the German Nazi camp #Auschwitz, including some 700 children, were liberated by the soldiers of the Soviet Army. 1,689 days of murder, pain, suffering, and humiliation were over. Today we all remember. We must remember. | #Auschwitz78

Today, on Holocaust Memorial Day, I'm thinking about this little boy, the same age as my kids, proudly showing a flower to another child, outside a gas chamber at Auschwitz, where they were all murdered moments later. It is so important for us all to remember what happened.

These were my Grandparents.
My Grandmother was taken to Auschwitz.
My Grandfather to Bergen Belsen.
90% of their family….my family, was wiped out by the Nazis in the camps, they miraculously survived and endured.
